Just wanted to send a quick update. We were extremely lucky to have found a contractor and Pirate's Place is currently being worked on. There is no timetable for when the home will be completely inhabitable as the island is still a long way from receiving guests. We are hoping to get a better idea this summer. Thank you for your interest in Pirate's Place and a big thank you to our friends at Dive Guana for their ongoing help.

As everyone is aware, the in the suffered tremendous damage from in September. Unfortunately, Pirate’s Place was not spared from Dorian’s 215+mph wind gusts and torrential rain. These are just some of the pictures we received of the damage. Some of our neighbors and friends were not as fortunate as we were and will have to completely rebuild. If you would like to donate to relief efforts we ask that you look into local Bahamian non-profit organizations. We, along with the rest of , will rebuild stronger and better. @ Great Guana Cay, Marsh Harbour, Bahamas

As everyone is aware, the Bahama Islands have taken a heavy hit from Hurricane Dorian. The Abacos were impacted especially hard. Unfortunately, our friends on Great Guana Cay suffered substantial loss. The good news is that the residents and visitors of Great Guana Cay have all been accounted for.

While we cannot endorse any specific charity or organization to help fund we strongly encourage you to help our Bahamian neighbors.
