During the Closing Ceremony of BITM 2026, the Hon'ble Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment officially announced the dates for the 2nd Edition of the Bhutan International Travel Mart (BITM).

Distinctive Identity:
Known as “the yak people,” they preserve unique folk songs, dances (e.g., the yak dance), and oral epics. Their isolation in the Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary (established 2003) has helped maintain their traditions. Today, limited tourism (homestays, trekking) supplements their economy, but they remain one of Bhutan’s most culturally protected and least modernized communities.
