Introducing our Speaker: TSHERING DORJI π¨
An active animal rights advocate, when not working on his next movie, Tshering can be found volunteering his time protecting animals. As a longtime dedicated volunteer at the Jangsa Animal Saving Trust, which was founded on the spiritual practice of Tsethar (saving animals lives) and is actively involved in all fields of animal welfare - from rescuing injured and sick animals and providing medical intervention and care, to maintaining animal shelters, sanctuaries and pasturelands in Bhutan and India. Tshering became its Executive Director in 2019. When not helping animals, Tshering is busy directing, acting, and singing as in Bhutanese as well as international film productions (he can speak 6 different languages). Popularly known as Drubi Keta, he is the lead singer of the Bhutanese band Bathroom Singers and is a veteran actor and director winning Bhutanβs National Film Awards Best Supporting Actor and Best Villain Awards in 2020. In addition to animal advocacy, Tshering loves having artistic fun and wants to teach others to do the same.
