Bhutanese architecture is known for its connection to nature and spirituality. Buildings are made from local materials like stone, timber, and mud, and are often whitewashed and decorated with religious symbols and paintings. Bhutan is considered one of the world's biodiversity hotspots with about 72% of forest coverage and are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.The constitution mandates to keep 60% forest coverage for all the time.

The tradition of building houses, temples and dzongs with wood and soil (traditional Jangkhim) in and across Bhutan. Manually rammed by people using wooden stamping tools, dancing and singing in the process. Many of our dzongs(Fortresses) and Temples were all built with stones, wood and mud over the centuries, which symbolizes the rich culture, tradition and the history of Bhutan.
