The annual Rhododendron Festival is back after a hiatus of three years due to the pandemic. The Rhododendron Festival will be held from April 22 – 24 this year at the Royal Botanical Park in Lamperi, about 35km from the capital Thimphu. The three-day festival marks the beginning of spring season, and will feature an exhibition of several types of blooming rhododendron species found in the park. The festival will also feature games, and cultural and entertainment programs, including mask dances, traditional Bhutanese music and dances by the local communities and school children.
