The answer was Bhutan. 🇧🇹

For our guest from Spain, that conversation sparked curiosity, a little research… and eventually, a landing in Paro with his travel companion.

We were there for the first hello.

A few landing nerves turned into introductions. A khadar welcome scarf around the shoulders. Bags in the car, and we were off together. 🌿

Before the first monastery, mountain trail or hotel, there’s this moment: arriving somewhere new and having someone there to welcome you.

That’s where a Raven journey begins.

Did you know there’s another way to enter Bhutan besides flying? 🇧🇹🇮🇳

You can arrive by road through Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s southern gateway on the India–Bhutan border — and the journey there can become part of the experience itself.

Come along with our Raven Tours team as we travel south through winding mountain roads, changing landscapes and waterfalls, with relaxed stops for coffee, snacks and lunch along the way. 🌿☕

Eventually, the mountains lead us into Phuentsholing, where the best part of the day begins — welcoming our guest at the border and starting her Bhutan journey together.

Because sometimes, the adventure doesn’t begin when you reach Bhutan.

It begins on the way there.
