Bumdra trek is an easy to moderate difficulty trek/hike. You can start the trek from different places such as drukgyal, taktsang but the best starting point is sang choekor as the ascent is gradual and more relaxed compared to the former options. Ever wondered where the name of the capital city of bhutan originated from? It arised from this Lhakhang/temple/monastery known as Dechenphug (dechenphu). Ap geynyen or geynyen jagpa melen is a powerful guardian/protector deity of Bhutan. It is believed that ap geynyen dissolved himself into a rock Infront of the deity house when visited by jamyang kuenga singye (druk ralung) in the 1300s. "Thim" means dissolve, "phug" means rock k**b and hence the name "Thimphu". The sacred rock (Nye) is still present Infront of the temple.

Guenzhu Kepi Ling Centre is located in Tsho Chasa, Punakha, Bhutan. The name translates to Guen-elder/elderly, Zhu-retired, Kepi-harmony/peace, Ling-place. Being consecrated by His Holiness the Je Khenpo, it is built on 72 acres of land on a hill top consisting of 9 cottages with 66 rooms able to accommodate around 70 elderly monks. The place offers spectacular views of Wangdue, Punakha and gives one a perspective on life itself. A must visit site to provide offerings and engage with the old age monks.
