We are from the highland communities of Bhutan.

The mountains are our home. This is where we raise our animals, care for our rangelands, make our living and continue the traditions we grew up with. It is the life we know and the life we are proud to share.

Every October, we look forward to coming together in Laya. As the festival draws closer, there is excitement in our communities. We look forward to meeting old friends, welcoming new faces, sharing our songs and dances, and celebrating the traditions that bring us together.

It was truly wonderful and an honour to host the Members of Parliament from Bangladesh for a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest. Their energy, enthusiasm, and zeal were truly inspiring as they took on the challenging hike up and down with such incredible spirit. A memorable experience and a great honour to share one of Bhutan’s most treasured landmarks with them. 🇧🇹🙏🇧🇩
