Bhutan, a sovereign nation throughout its history is shrouded in an enigmatic aura of myths, mysticism and spirituality, with tales the Yeti and roaring thunder dragons, of prophetic saints and masters. One of the most popular stories is that of the Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). The legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche, a ta***ic Buddhist vajra master) flew to the site of Taktshang astride a tigress, assuming the wrathful form of Guru Dorji Drolo, to subdue evil spirits in the region. Clinging to a cliff over 3000m a.s.l, Taktshang Monastery is one of the oldest and most sacred monasteries in Bhutan.

At COP26, a small group of 'carbon-negative' nations have formed an alliance, signing a declaration calling for international finance, preferential trade, carbon pricing and other measures to support their economies and other 'carbon-negative' nations yet to emerge.
