If you wish to Photograph close up shot with good back drop of this species (Yellow-rumped Honeyguide), probably you have to visit Bhutan. Not to limit, apart from this you will also get to see top Bhutan Birds. To mention few, critically endangered White-bellied Heron, Satyr Tragopan, two different race of Blood Pheasants, Ward's Trogon, Beautiful Nuthatch, shortwing sp, Wren Babbler species and many many more..

It is rare. In Bhutan, the only well known place for Hodgson's Frogmouth is Yongkala. The Yongkala is known to other world as top birding region in Bhutan.

In Bhutan, this species was probably first time recorded to Bhutan from Dewathang, Samdrup Jongkhar. Later, apart from above mentioned places, the one nesting couple was also found from Zhemgang Bhutan.

This species was first recorded in Bhutan
In 2017 from Panbang, Royal Manas Park.
It was during Nature Guide Training, one of trainee( Sha Pemba) took the first pictorial evidence from Panbang town area. The individual has come to feed on drain outlet inside the Bamboos.

Later, we went to same spot for 2 consecutive years and its always there. More records from other part of Bhutan as well.

This is from Place call Yongkala, eastern Bhutan. Considered to be the best birding spot in Bhutan. In short span of distance from Phrumsengla Pass- Yongkala and further you will see different pattern of habitat break down. Here you get to see alpine birds (Pheasants, T**s, Finches and many alpine species) and lowland species.
