Till this date it is well preserved and many people from local as well as foreigners visits this holy place for its significant history and particularly to pay unwavering respects to such enlightened beings.

It is believed the temple is more than 900 years old.

Trashigang town is one of the Bhutan's interesting town located above Drangme Chhu River. Is also best excursions to Trashiyangtse, Kanglung, Younphula, Khaling, Rangjung, Radi, Phongme, Bartsham and Merak Sakteng Trek and elsewhere in eastern Bhutan.

The region are famous for their skill in the production of natural dyes, dyeing and weaving. For natural lovers there is a large variety of bird species including rufous-necked hornbill (Aceros nipalensis), Chestnut-breasted Partridge (Arborophila mandellii) Pallas’s Fish eagle (Haliaeetus leucoruphus) etc.
