The Flag Lowering Ceremony at Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu is a dignified and respectful ritual held in the evening as the sun sets over the capital.

Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and the summer residence of the Central Monastic Body, provides a majestic setting for this ceremony. As the day ends, security personnel and officials gather in the courtyard to formally lower the national flag of Bhutan.

The ceremony is conducted with discipline and decorum. The flag is slowly and respectfully lowered, symbolizing the close of official duties for the day.
