The Black-Necked Cranes migrate to Bhutan in late October and stay until mid-February. They arrive from the Tibetan Plateau, where they breed in the summer, and spend their winter months in places like Phobjikha Valley, Bumdeling, and Khotokha. These cranes are considered vulnerable and are protected by law in Bhutan, with conservation efforts in place to preserve their habitats and ensure their safety.
