Bhutan-Japanese friendship offer!

A Japanese tourist visiting Bhutan will need to pay only the royalty part, US$ 65, a night in June, July, and August. Tourism Council of Bhutan’s Officials said Japanese tourists will be waived off the daily tourist tariff of US$ 250, a night. Bhutan is offering the special tourism package to Japan…

The Kingdom of Bhutan has become an unparalleled carbon sink – absorbing three times more CO2 emissions than its 700,000 citizens produce.

At the Paris Climate Talks, the Himalayan Kingdom pledged to keep its forests intact to help the rest of the world combat climate change.

On top of that Bhutan has pledged to reforest its land even further. Last summer, it set a world record for the most trees planted in one hour – nearly 50,000.
