Location: Diepkloof / Soweto, Southwest of Johannesburg

Roads: N1 Western Bypass x N12 Southern Bypass x N17.

Traffic: 140,000+ daily

Meaning: Diep = Deep, Kloof = Valley — Afrikaans.

Nickname: Soweto Interchange.

Part: Joburg Ring Road — Southernmost point.

WHY DIEPKLOOF IS IMPORTANT:

1) Connects Soweto (largest township in SA — 1.3M people) to Joburg.

2) N12 to Kimberley and N17 to Krugersdorp split here.

3) Very dangerous before upgrade — Now 4 levels.

4) Gold Reef City nearby!

FUN FACT: Diepkloof Interchange is where N1 from Cape Town meets Soweto. Longest road in SA passes here.

If you leave at 0430hrs in durban
And u stop at Montrose 30 minutes to 1 hour for them to buy meals then you shoot and stop at Zerust for them to buy meals

By 6pm u will be in Gaborone
