AIR BOTSWANA SUSPENDS SECHEDULED OPERATIONS FROM 27 MARCH TO 31 MAY 2020

The national Airline,Air Botswana has suspended scheduled services on it's domestic and regional route network. This is on support of the national call to restrict non- essential travel in efforts to slow- down and arrest the speard of the Covid-19 pandemic. The suspension period is however subject to regular review, given the rapid changes that continue to be experienced by the industry on a daily basis.

2020 TOYOTA 1000 DESERT RACE CALLED OFF

Due to the ongoing and fluid nuture of the Covid-19 situation globally, the avenue of postponement for this iconic event to take place in Botswana later in the year is not possible in view of other planned events and the seasonal conditions which resulted in the event to be cancelled.

POSTPONED MAKGADIKGADI EPIC

IN light of the ongoing outbreak of covid- 19, the Makgadikgadi Epic stakeholders and sponsors, have taken a unanimous decision to postpone this years's skydiving event, which was earmarked for the 17-21 July 2020.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Every day, COVID-19 seems to reach a new and tragic milestone.

They are 294,110 confirmed cases,12 944 confirmed deaths, 187 countries with cases.Every loss of life is a tragedy. It’s also motivation to double down and do everything we can to stop transmission and save lives.

We also need to celebrate our successes. Yesterday, Wuhan reported no new cases for the first time since the outbreak started.

Wuhan provides hope for the rest of the world, that even the most severe situation can be turned around.

Of course, we must exercise caution – the situation can reverse. But the experience of cities and countries that have pushed back this virus give hope and courage to the rest of the world.

Every day, we are learning more about this virus and the disease it causes.

Due to recent developments including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, SA Express announces that it will suspend operations from 18 March 2020 until further notice.
