And when the Boteti River is flowing strong, the Park comes alive in a way that’s difficult to put into words. The water brings life back to the landscape, birds filling the skies, wildlife gathering along the riverbanks, and the bush buzzing with energy.

Sometimes you just need to take the first step. Keep on believing the dream and live it everyday.

It has been 6 years having this beast . Its only been loyal thus far. The build keeps on evolving.

The red-necked false blister beetle (\(Ascleraruficollis\)) is a beetle with a black body and an orange-red thorax. It's a member of the Oedemeridae family, which includes false blister beetles.

Physical characteristics:
About 3/8 inch long
Slender, soft-bodied
Finely ridged elytra
Rounded pronotum that's widest at the front
Thread-like antennae.

Behavior:
Found on flowers and foliage, especially in the spring
Mating takes place on flowers
Larvae develop in the soil.

Toxicity:
Produces cantharidin, a toxic chemical that can cause painful blisters on skin.

Safety:
Handle with care
Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants when working, playing, or relaxing outdoors
Gently remove the beetle by blowing it off of your skin
Wash the exposed area with soap and water
Remove and wash any clothing that comes in contact with blister beetles.

Treatment:
Wash the blister with warm, soapy water each day
Apply a topical steroid or antibiotic
Apply a cold compress to the lesion several times a day.

This bakkie definitely has the spirit of a honey badger. Just like the honey badger.
1. It keeps on going when it gets tough.
2. It is made for endurance not speed.
3. It is rough and tough.
4. It means business when it comes to the bush.
5. It will get itself out of a sticky situation.
6. And its black and white like the Badger.

We used Tracker Dogs Mokore and Camping Services in Khwai on this Mokoro cruise. They were very experienced, knowledgeable and read the animal behavior very well. We waited about 20 min to see if the herd would pass before we decided to pass in-between them. It was a very memorable experience.
