The leopard tortoise is a large, attractively marked reptile native to the savannas and grasslands of eastern and southern Africa. It is the fourth-largest tortoise species in the world and is well-known for its high, domed shell featuring black and yellow patterns that resemble a leopard’s spots.

Elephant families are highly social, matriarchal herds composed of related females (mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters) and their calves, typically numbering 6 to 12 members, though they can merge into larger groups. Led by the oldest, experienced female (the matriarch), these groups share strong bonds, cooperate in calf-rearing, and can live up to 60 years.
