We are happy to announce Botho University as the official Academia Partner of the NextGen Tourism Business Expo (NTBE) & Forward-Thinking Summit , taking place 8-9 October 2026 in Gaborone, Botswana.

At NTBE 2026, we believe the future of tourism is built at the intersection of knowledge and practice. Too often, hospitality and tourism graduates enter the workplace underprepared , not because they lack talent, but because academia and industry rarely speak the same language.

Together with Botho University, NTBE 2026 will create a platform where students, academics, industry leaders, and practitioners sit in the same room, learning from each other, challenging each other, and building the future of tourism together.

As we prepare for the NextGen Tourism Business Expo (NTBE) & Forward-Thinking Summit 2026, we are establishing the NextGen Tourism Advisory Council - a strategic collective of leaders who will guide the direction, relevance, and impact of this platform.

We are inviting a select group of industry leaders, policymakers and innovators to join this Council and contribute to shaping a future-ready tourism ecosystem in Botswana and across the region.

We are looking for expertise across:

- Tourism & Hospitality
- MICE & Business Tourism
- Investment & Finance
- Government & Policy
- Academia, Innovation & Skills Development
- ESG

This is a strategic, non-operational role.
