During our most recent trip to , our founder Chloe visited the warehouse and watched Patrick (see picture 3) prepare each piece's wire frames before being distributed to the various beaders.

Monkeybiz is a fantastic economic upliftment project dedicated to reviving the traditional craft of African beadwork and empowering women to become financially independent as the beaders get paid upfront for their pieces and all profits go back into the community. For the last 20 years, they have supported around 300 bead artists who create these incredible works of art. Anyone in Cape Town can visit the warehouse and purchase the full range of incredible pieces (they also have an awesome online shop). Alternatively, many shops in the region stock their pieces including gallery.

Located on the West Coast of South Africa, Paternoster is a
beautiful small seaside fishing village with long stretches of beaches and a white-washed town.

On a recent trip, we stayed at beach hotel. Set amongst the dunes, we were lucky to watch several pods of dolphins playing on our beach walks and took chilly Atlantic ocean swims.
