From Soweto’s streets, young voices came,
And history would not stay the same.
They stood for dignity, hope and right,
And turned their courage into light.

Today’s African child now carries that flame,
Dreaming boldly, refusing the same.
With minds that create and hearts that lead,
They hold the power to shape what we need.

Inspired by the past, yet looking ahead,
By purpose and possibility they are led.
Through unity, learning, and daring to try,
Their dreams can grow and rise high.

For a better tomorrow begins today,
In every child who chooses their way.
The future is written by hands that believe,
And Africa’s children can dream and achieve.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD!!

🌍 World Environment Day 2026

Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.

Nature has always shown us the way. From forests that absorb carbon to wetlands that protect biodiversity and water sources, the solutions to many of our climate challenges already exist around us.

This World Environment Day, we are reminded that protecting our planet is not just an environmental responsibility, it is an investment in our future. The effects of climate change are being felt across the globe, making urgent action more important than ever.

Together, we can make a difference by embracing sustainable practices, conserving natural ecosystems, reducing waste, and supporting initiatives that protect our environment for generations to come.

Let us be inspired by nature's resilience and commit to building a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future.

A proud milestone for our Green Seat partner, Travel For Impact, as the Crafted Botswana project prepares to take locally developed products to the international stage at Design Afrika in Cape Town.

The exhibition will showcase innovative products created during recent product development training funded through UNESCO across Ngamiland, with talented artisans from Gumare and Etsha contributing their work.

The training inspired artisans to explore fresh designs, intricate patterns, and bold colour experimentation, all while preserving the authenticity and rich heritage of Botswana’s basket weaving traditions.

Supporting Travel for Impact means having a hand in empowering local artisans to achieve their goals, gain the international recognition they deserve, and continue building sustainable livelihoods through their craft.

If you are in Cape Town, head to the Design Afrika Studio and explore culture of Botswana through crafts.

Today we celebrate the women whose love knows no limits and whose sacrifices often go unseen.

To every mother, grandmother, guardian, and mother figure, thank you for the endless care, strength, and unconditional love you pour into the lives of others every single day. Your sacrifices build homes, shape futures, and inspire generations.
