I finished on Saturday, but I still cannot believe it!! 12000km, 10 countries in 4 months; we have crossed the continent!! It has been an incredible journey and I will never forget the vast gorgeous nature, the warmest people supporting me along the way and the lengths you can push yourself to. Thank you for following the updates, I have enjoyed all your reactions! Love, Emma

Namibia is one of the most impressively gorgeous countries, the dunes in the Namib desert, mountain zebras and the fish river canyon all make up for the back pains due to the corrugation of the off road!

Namibia!!! We started cycling through the Kalahari dessert. I cannot believe how time is flying and we only have 2 weeks left on the journey. I love the nature, but also the beautiful people on the trip!

Zambiaaa!! We are out of the hills and rolled into another country. Apart from all the punctures, it has been lovely riding. The campsites have been really good too, views of the river and Mozambique from the swimming pool. 3 more days to Victoria falls and a brief visit into Zimbabwe. We will have 3 rest days and see what we can get up to around the falls! Yeay!

Oef! From Arusha to Mbeya was a hard stretch with a lot of off road. Stanley doesn't have any suspension and due to my poor off roading skills, my body took a beating 😱. So really ready for a restday now, but the sights were really good. We passed lovely villages, three wildlife parks and got stuck in the mud! 📷 thanks to Chiswick

Cycling into Tanzania was amazeballs! The views of the Kilimanjaro were lovely and we passed mt Meru into Arusha. Along the way we saw giraffes, zebra, vultures and antilope on the side of the road (my camera unfortunately doesn't capture them too well). The Masai wave at us happily (and don't throw rocks, happy days). I like it here, next is a 7 days stretch with some hard days until we reach Mbeya (and go into Malawi the next day). Hot stuff!

We have crossed the equator! The views of mount Kenya and the rolling landscape have been amazing. I feel we are getting to a part of Africa, that is a bit easier to travel through and I look forward to a rest day in Nairobi!

Northern Kenya has been lovely so far! (But s**t it is hot here! )
