Last month, we joined the Safari Air Team and fellow aviation industry leaders at the North West Air Hangar for Girls in Aviation Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce girls aged 10 to 15 to the world of aviation, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at the industry, the many career paths it offers and, hopefully, a little inspiration to dream of a future in the skies.

Our pilots, Suncha and Mark, took the girls through our R44, where their excitement quickly turned into curiosity. From exploring the helicopter to engaging our pilots with a stream of interesting and thought-provoking questions, they were fully immersed in the experience from start to finish. Our Liaison Officer, Summer, also shared her own journey in aviation during the panel discussion, leaving the girls with an important message: “You are the girl for the job.”

A big thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their stories and helped create a day filled with curiosity, conversation and plenty of inspiration.
