Roaming the vast grasslands of the Makgadikgadi, the surprisingly swift Red Hartebeest is a master of evasion, darting in zig-zag patterns to outwit its predators.

In this rare, still moment, we pause to admire its curious features and quiet strength, perfectly at home in Botswana’s wilderness. 🌱🐾

Spotted on a recent mobile safari; the cunning, elegant Martial Eagle or Ntsu in Setswana. 🦅

This powerful bird of prey is infamous for gliding effortlessly through the skies or perching on towering trees, scanning the bush for its next prey, which ranges from small birds to Steenbok. On safari, the action isn’t just on land so we keep our eyes on the skies and the water.

We are over the moon with the incredible volume of water we have recently received in the Chobe River.

The floodplains right in front of Chobe Elephant Camp have filled with life, and our boat cruises have moved back to our station near the Ngoma gate. Whether you prefer gliding quietly by canoe, cruising along the river by boat, or heading out on a game drive, we create land and water adventures that bring Chobe’s beauty to life with a little something for everyone looking for a different kind of safari.

This is where wildlife meets water, and golden sunsets light up the horizon. It’s a simple kind of magic. And we’re ready to share it with you. 🐾 🇧🇼

An unforgettable sighting during one of our mobile safaris in Savuti. A brown hyena perched atop a hill with three curios cubs by her side.

As our guide, OT Paul, recalls, “It was during an afternoon game drive near Leopard Rock. We had just watched two male lions feeding on a giraffe when one of my guests spotted something unusual, a wolf-like creature on a nearby hill. To my surprise, it was a brown hyena, with three tiny cubs around three months old. In all my time guiding in Savuti, I’d never seen one here. That moment was really the highlight of our trip.”

Moments like this are exactly what we love about our safari adventures: immersive, unpredictable journeys through Botswana in search of rare gems in the wild. 🇧🇼🐾

At Bush Ways, the same sun that illuminates the wild also powers our safaris. Each handcrafted glass gives an empty wine bottle a second life, reducing waste while adding beauty to the bush. From solar panels to upcycled glassware, our clan takes small, meaningful steps to protect what we love most.

From 🇧🇼 to 🇿🇦 , we made at this year’s Africa's Travel Indaba. We’ve come away energized and inspired by the incredible connections made at the Botswana Exhibitors Lounge. The conversations and ideas exchanged reaffirm our passion for being part of Botswana’s story and sharing it with the world.

We look forward to welcoming travellers to experience it all with us, out in the wild on our mobile safaris or at home in our lodges.
