Congratulations, Peggy! 🎉

This month's recognition goes to Peggy from Stores, for going well above and beyond during a genuinely tough period for the team.

When Base was stretched thin, Peggy stepped up without being asked. She kept orders running under difficult conditions, took the initiative to learn the Safari menus on top of her own responsibilities, and did it all with a positive attitude that lifted everyone around her.

20 years of excellence deserves a sweet celebration!

Last Friday, the Bush Ways Sales & Marketing Team, together with our Foundation Manager, had the pleasure of visiting our friends at Safari Destinations to celebrate their 20th Anniversary.

We marked the occasion with a special cake and cupcakes, shared with appreciation for two decades of partnership, passion and incredible work in African travel.

THE KALAHARI HAS A STORY. THE SAN KNOW HOW TO READ IT.



This World Indigenous Peoples Day, we’re taking you beyond the game drive and into a different kind of wilderness experience.

At Deception Valley Lodge and The Dune Camp, in the heart of the Deception Valley Private Reserve bordering the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, guests have the opportunity to join a San Bush Walk, an intimate encounter with one of the world’s oldest living cultures.



Walking alongside the San community, the Kalahari becomes a classroom.

Learn how to read the tracks left in the sand. Discover which plants can provide food, medicine or moisture. Hear stories passed down through generations.
