#2 BB1 PRISONS
The BB1 Prisons are located on the western side of BB1 Kgotla along the Sebina - Tutume road. The prison is made up of two incarceration cells, the well preserver one on the east was for females while the one located on the western side and closest to the road was for men.
Behind the two cells stands a tall Mophane Tree which initially served as the prison cell for outlaws at a time when the prison cells were being constructed. Criminals were locked on a chain that was secured on this Mophane Tree and left to spend the night here.
There are many tales that are told about prison life in BB1 Prison. Oral accounts in Sebina mention that during the early days when the Mophane Tree was still serving as a cell, ants found there used to bite those who were chained all night long, forcing them to scream and beg for mercy while the village slept, seemingly oblivious and unbothered by the noise that they had become accustomed to.
Within the Male Prison Cell, there are inscriptions on the walls left by prisoners who were locked up here. Some of these inscriptions carry messages like, "ndo dziyila mu Nambawani", K***** wasungwa mu Nambawani. "
