Belize 🇧🇿 Shines at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵
Belize’s National Day at Expo 2025 was a dynamic celebration of culture and global connection. Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño delivered the official address to open the day’s events, which included captivating performances by Belizean musicians and dancers. The presentations made a strong impression in Osaka.
The Belize delegation included Hon. Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations; Hon. Devin Daly, Minister of State for Youth and Sports; CEO Nicole Solano Usher; Director of Tourism, Mr. Evan Tillett; and key representatives from the Ministry of Blue Economy and Marine Conservation, the Ministry of Finance, Investment, and Civil Aviation, and the National Institute of Culture and History.
Following the ceremony, the group toured the Japan Pavilion, where they explored biogas power generation and carbon recycling technologies. They also visited the Belize Pavilion, which highlights the country’s tourism offerings, blue economy, and investment opportunities.
Since opening in April, Expo 2025 has brought together countries from around the world to showcase their cultural heritage and economic potential. Belize is participating under the theme: “One Belize, One Purpose: Ecosystems for Life.”
