Recent review from a guest. Kathie was a wonderful host! She responded quickly to our questions and the check-in instructions she had sent were detailed and helpful. The view from the house is incredible! It overlooks the Macal River and is in the middle of the jungle where you can see and hear many types of wildlife. You can enjoy the view from the balcony, which is huge and inviting to enjoy your morning coffee or other meals during the day. We hired Millie to cook dinner for us the night we arrived and it was a delicious Belizean meal. The house was very clean, and the rooms are quite spacious. There are many activities to do in the area. We highly recommend the Pontoon boat ride and the Che Chem Ha Cave. For activities a bit further, such as Xuantunich Mayan site, you do need to plan adequate time to drive from Benque Del Viejo to Better in Belize, but it is well worth it. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful home.
