A beach club day… on a lagoon!

Sipalitos sits on Nopalitos Lagoon, around 25 minutes south of Tulum. Think turquoise water, jungle surroundings, food, drinks and music, with a freshwater swimming spot free of ocean sargassum.

Best for: Travellers staying in Tulum or the southern Riviera Maya who want to spend a day swimming and lounging, especially when seaweed affects their resort beach. It’s also an option from Playa del Carmen if you don’t mind a longer drive.

Expect an entry fee plus a minimum food and drink spend, so budget for the full experience. Weekends can have a livelier club atmosphere.

A lovely option for adding something different to your beach holiday!
