**China’s Icons & the Avatar Mountains**
If China has been on your travel list, this trip gives you a chance to see how much variety one country can offer. In 12 days, you’ll go from the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors to the towering sandstone peaks of Zhangjiajie, then finish among the bright lights of Shanghai.
You’ll begin in **Beijing**, where a visit to the Great Wall lets you experience a place you’ve probably seen in photos your whole life. Then it’s off to **Xi’an** by bullet train to see the Terracotta Warriors, thousands of figures created more than 2,000 years ago.
Next comes **Zhangjiajie**. Its tall, narrow peaks rise out of the forest and mist, creating scenery unlike anywhere else on this itinerary. These are the landscapes that inspired the floating mountains in *Avatar*. Finally, you’ll visit **Shanghai**, where you can take in both the city’s historic side and its striking modern skyline.
