Truth & Reconciliation Gathering 🧡

Join Ska:na Family Learning Centre in the spirit of healing and reconciliation on Saturday, September 26, from 12–4pm at King’s Navy Yard Park.

Learn about Indigenous culture through food, dancing, drumming and storytelling, and hear from Elders and community speakers. Enjoy children’s activities at the teepee and visit Indigenous vendors in the park.

On Saturday, September 19 just after 9pm, cap off a full day of magic, entertainment and activities at the Amherstburg Uncommon Festival with a spectacular fireworks display over the river.✨

Enjoy the festivities throughout the park and downtown Amherstburg, then find your spot along the waterfront and watch the sky light up!

The skies are clearing up, and we’re looking forward to a fun evening at Amherstburg Uncommon Festival! ✨ Come enjoy the festivities and stick around for a fireworks show to cap off the day.

🎆 Fireworks launch shortly after 9pm. View the fireworks from King’s Navy Yard Park or the Amherstburg Waterfront Festival Plaza.

✨ The magic continues at Amherstburg Uncommon Festival!

🌧️ The weather may be putting a twist in today’s plans, but there’s still plenty happening throughout the festival grounds and downtown.

Our vendors and activities are set up under tents, while downtown businesses are welcoming the stage performance buskers and character acts into their spaces this afternoon. Thanks to our downtown businesses for helping keep the uncommon magic going!

🎭 Today’s costume contest has been cancelled. The next contest will take place tomorrow at 5pm.

We’re keeping an eye on the skies. If the weather clears this evening, performances will return to the stage, and fireworks will proceed as planned.

🎈 A change of plans for tonight. Unfortunately, the RE/MAX hot air balloon tethered rides have been cancelled for this evening as the winds aren't cooperating.

But there's still plenty to see and do at the Amherstburg Uncommon Festival this evening. Check out the street art by David Zinn, Wizard Academy, Axe Throwing, Wizard Bingo, Jake in the Box, Miles High Show, Mysterion, wand making, candle making, vendors and more!
