Did you know that the north end is also paddled less than the southern end of the park? That makes it a great area of the park to explore in the fall!

"The call of the eagle soaring high against the sun, the splash of a rising fish, the shadow of bats across a gibbous moon, and maybe even, yes, the gloriously annoying whine of hungry insects.

These sounds, subtle though they often are, infuse the spaces in our lives too often filled with screens, and remind us that the world is something to inhabit rather than merely observe."

Itching for ice out? We certainly are.

But spring weather can be fickle.

Hitting the lake too early, failing to respect weather conditions or paddling beyond your skill level isn’t just risky — it’s downright dangerous.

Here are some tips for spring adventurers: https://blog.ontarioparks.ca/spring-paddling-safety/
