That feeling when hiking season is just around the corner… your boots know it’s almost time!🥾

Banff National Park is home to 1,600 km of beautifully maintained trails, each one leading to its own unforgettable view. By staying on the trail, you help protect fragile vegetation and prevent erosion, small choices that make a big difference for this place we all love.🏞️

Follow the path, enjoy the journey, and keep our ecosystem thriving for seasons to come.

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the diverse histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across Canada.🇨🇦

The lands known today as Banff National Park are a place of breathtaking natural beauty, deep history, and vibrant cultural heritage. Indigenous Peoples have lived, travelled, gathered, and shared knowledge here since time immemorial, and continue to shape and enrich this place today.⛰️

Here in Banff and Lake Louise, we encourage visitors and our community to take time to learn, listen, and reflect.

From medicine walks and e-bike tours with Indigenous guides, to Indigenous arts and crafts, museum visits, and cultural events, there are many meaningful ways to engage with Indigenous cultures, stories, and perspectives throughout the month and beyond.

Think you can guess this spot? Here’s your clue 👇

Pull up a chair, your seat is waiting.
A quiet corner made for nature‑soaking.

Where mountains rise and waters meet,
This hidden gem sits along the Minnewanka Loop.

A “pair” in name, though one serene view.
Which lake could this peaceful beauty be?

Hi, I’m Aimee and I’m looking forward to spending my first summer with the Visitor Services team!

I arrived in Banff from England in November to spend my winter in the mountains here as a ski instructor with SkiBig3. This winter has been incredible, and I can’t wait to see how the summer unfolds here.☀️

When I'm not on the mountain I love to wander around Banff, taking in the views, grabbing a coffee and mostly spending too much in Roots, Fjallraven or Lululemon!

I love going for food whilst I’m out and about and you can probably find me at Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse & Fondue or Sudden Sally- making the most of the happy hours🍕🥩🍹

My number one tip for anyone planning a visit this summer would be to plan ahead and get booking any activities, transport or trips to make sure you don’t miss out on any of your bucket list experiences!

If you need any help or guidance, that’s what we’re here for.

Recently, I tried fat biking for the first time in my life and had the best time! If you could do one activity whilst you’re here in Banff, what would it be?

Out here, every decision matters.🦊

Keep your distance, never feed wildlife, and ensure pets are always on leash. These small choices help protect both animals and people.

Travel with care, tread lightly, and help keep Banff’s wildlife safe and wild.⛰️
