Murray to slide traverse. Not without its challenges but full of accomplishments! Up the Jubilee this time. Wells is lush and wet and cool…..and so is this hike. After at least 23 local hikes this season including multiple trips up the same summits in preparation for our festival and setting up ‘the challenge’, we bagged two glorious peaks today and actually completed 7 of the 10 qualifying mountains!! Two Sisters mtn. South summit. There is a simple alpine route to the saddle that allows you to forget the road! You want to feel the mountains, not the stones. At 3.3k you walk off into the wilderness and enjoy babbling brooks, lush meadows and a stunning lakeside circumnavigation. Check out the Wats website for kmz, trail suggestions. This new route offers many kms of broad ridge-walking with endless panoramas, and close up views of Cossette, Tinsdale and more., and culminates in a rise to the summit cairn and a spectacular reveal of the Bowron Lake Mountains.
