FYI, originally scheduled to take place this Saturday, Aug 23, 2025, the annual Lockeport Beach Bash will be rescheduled to next Sunday, Aug 31, 2025, due to weather concerns.

😎The Beach Bash has been rescheduled to Sunday, August 31st at 1pm due to concerns of wind and waves from Hurricane Erin over the weekend.

Hi Folks - Today is Friday Aug 15, 2025. It’s hot and sunny here in Southwest Nova Scotia and boy, does Shelburne County have a jam-packed weekend ahead!!

The much anticipated FogFest weekend-long music festival kicks off today, with more than 20 live music acts set to take the stage over the course of today and tomorrow. Performances begin tonight at 6:00PM!

At the same time just a minute down the road, Wild Axe Park in River Head is hosting the Canadian Double-Bit Axe Throwing Championships!!

Tonight, The Osprey Arts Centre is also presenting “The Improvisors” - a Canadian stand-up comedy Improv duo, beginning at 7:30 PM!

Don’t forget the weekly Barrington Market at Sherose Island tomorrow morning!!

Lots of great things to do and experience right here in our community this weekend! Get out there!

Extremely excited for the FogFest Music Festival, happening THIS WEEKEND, Aug 15-16, 2025 right here in Barrington, Nova Scotia! This is most certainly an event not to be missed!

More than musical 20 acts will be performing at FogFest, from all over Nova Scotia, spanning multiple musical generes. There’s literally something for everyone. It is an all-ages event, camping on-site is available (check with the organizers for availability), with lots of local food vendors on-site!

A full weekend pass costs only $65.00. Single-day passes are also available at the main gate.
