Under the backdrop of historic Bay Bulls Harbour, the gateway town to Newfoundland’s famous Irish Loop, prepare yourself to be treated to a quintessential traditional outport experience.
Running throughout the summer tourism season, “A Feed of Fish” is a Dinner show featuring Con O’Brien, the renowned lead singer of the Juno Award-winning, Newfoundland folk music group, The Irish Descendants.
Guests will be treated to a superb musical and storytelling experience from a master, weaving his story as a young man working in the family cod fishing business, in the very village where the O’Brien’s have resided for over 300 years.
Meal choices will of course, primarily feature “FISH” which in Newfoundland means only one thing “CODFISH”, the staple of every table on the island. Cod was the driving factor for the first European inhabitants who ventured to this part of the new world. John Cabot, who landed here in 1497, said it was so abundant you could pull it from the ocean in barrels, reporting to the King of England that there was enough fish to feed the Kingdom forever.
This show is one not to miss!
