This is another reason to love Ontario....being serenaded by the lock staff while transiting through the Buckhorn lift lock. The day was already great but it got a little better with the fun-loving, musical lock master.

Hi Everyone,

This week's ride is on Tuesday July 22 on the Kawartha Lakes starting on Sturgeon Lake.

Meet time 9:15 am

Ride Time: 9:30-9:45

Launch Point: McAlpine Park Beach, 176-180 Crane Bay Rd, Fenelon Falls, ON K0M 1N0

This is a free launch/park on the north side of Sturgeon Lake.

It looks sunny, warm 25C, and very low winds all day as per the forecasts. Sailflow has the wind at 0-4 mph....so quite calm.

This is an open ride for anyone to join up with us. There are 2 open slots for anyone new to riding with us. First come first served so to speak. We limit the number of machines due to lunch seating, fueling time and generally keeping track of everyone on a long run through islands and back channels. Be sure to bring: a machine full of fuel, windbreaker/sweater/gym pants, sunscreen, earplugs. Note: We have no set time to return to the launch site so if you have time commitments afterwards, we can’t change our tour plan to accommodate, so plan accordingly. Typically we would return 6:00 pm ish.

This Friday’s ride is on Georgian Bay. Wind is predicted to be very low or almost zero. The forecast is for sunny skies at 30C.



This is an open ride for anyone to join up with us. There are 4 open slots for anyone new to riding with us. First come first served so to speak. We limit the number of machines due to lunch seating, fueling time and generally keeping track of everyone on a potentially 160 mile run through islands and back channels. Be sure to bring: a machine full of fuel, windbreaker/sweater/gym pants, sunscreen, earplugs (this is a very long ride). Note: We have no set time to return to the launch site so if you have time commitments afterwards, we can’t change our tour plan to accommodate, so plan accordingly. Typically we would return 6:00 pm ish.

We have an “open” ride on Monday, July 22, on Georgian Bay. It is open to everyone. Please make sure your machines are full of fuel.
The open ride is limited to 10 machines, so please RSVP to [email protected]. It's first come, first served.

Ride Time: 9:30

Launch: Pier 69 Marina - 10 Duck Bay Rd, Waubaushene, ON - $30 launch and park fee

The general plan is to ride to Parry Sound and back, with stops along the way, and eat lunch at Henry’s Fish and Chips in Parry Sound.

The weather is forecast to be mainly sunny and 25C in the afternoon. The early morning temp should be around 16C.According to SailFlow, the wind in the morning is supposed to be 0-2 mph offshore until noon. It may increase to 2-4 mph onshore by 2pm. The late afternoon ride should be in the range of 4-6 mph onshore as we are coming home.
