Bay of Quinte Yacht Club -BQYC 150th Jubilee Events ⛵️ The BQYC is celebrating its 150th year this summer, and the celebrations are bringing some BIG sailing events to the BoQ. All are best viewed from around Meyers Pier in Discover Belleville.
➡️ June 20: Commodore Sail Past
Sailors from around Lake Ontario are coming to Belleville, creating a parade of sailboats flying their colourful spinnaker sails along Meyers Pier.
➡️ June 27–July 2: Shark 24 World Championship Regatta
This championship rotates annually between Canada and Europe, and involves about 40 of the Shark 24 boats from Canada, USA, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, plus international judges, race officers, and volunteers.
➡️ July 9–11: Eastern Yachting Circuit Regatta
This annual event rotates between yacht clubs from the eastern shores of Lake Ontario, bringing approximately 40-70 yachts to the Bay of Quinte.
🎉 The final event is on September 12: the BQYC Jubilee Day at their property in the south end of Victoria Park, Belleville. The day will be filled with watersports, games, food trucks, and music!
