Our trails, geosites and surrounding landscapes are experiencing exceptionally dry conditions. Even the smallest spark can ignite a fast-moving fire that puts lives, wildlife, and homes at risk.

If you’re visiting the trails:
🔥 Absolutely NO smoking — even one discarded cigarette can cause devastation.
🔥 Avoid anything that could create sparks or flames.
🔥 Pay attention to location markers along the trail so you can clearly describe your location to emergency services if you spot smoke or fire.
🔥 Report any signs of smoke or fire immediately — every second counts.

By staying alert and following these precautions, we can help ensure fire and rescue teams focus their efforts where they are desperately needed most, instead of fighting preventable trail fires.
