Making great progress! Completed the welding on the wings of the Messerschmitt ME 262.
The next step is fabricating the landing gear.

Work continues! I completed the welding on the left wing. Now to repeat for the right wing on the Messerschmitt 262.

All the welding is completed on the Messerschmitt 262 center wing section with bank attitude.

Installed the main wing spar in the Messerschmitt ME 262 jet.
The next stage will the fabrication and installation of the wing chords and landing gear.

We enjoyed hosting a tour with Ian Graham and the Ontario Chapter of the Studebaker Club today. The Studebakers were well represented as there were several models being driven.

Two iconic WW 2 aircraft , the Dehavilland Mosquito and the P51 D Mustang resting in a hay field!

The Mustang P 51D was a real game changer! It was heavily armed . It had the Rolls Royce Merlin engine, 4 blade propeller, bubbled canopy and was very fuel efficient and could do the high altitudes. With dropped tanks, it could es**rt the bombers all the way to Berlin and back.

We had the pleasure of hosting the 2nd Brooklin Cub group for a tour Monday evening. They were such a fun group and very inquisitive with all their questions and well behaved. I know they are going to have a new found appreciation for recycled materials.

The picture of the Cubs on the jeep reminds me so much of the movie “Memphis Belle” where the bomber crew all pile onto the jeep to drive out to the plane.

I also want to the commend the leaders for giving their time and committment to the group!

The Messerschmitt ME 262 gets its tail feathers!
I have gone as far as I can as I am
out of material.
If anyone is getting rid of their used above ground swimming pool, let me know as I could use the corregated metal walls.
Looks like the next step will be fabricating the main wing spar and landing gear.
