Did you know that the wolves at the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre eat only once every 5–10 days, following a randomized feeding schedule designed to mimic life in the wild?

This October, join us for one of our most unique day trips of the season! We're heading into the heart of Haliburton for "Wings & Wolves" at the Haliburton Wolf Centre —a fascinating day that brings you up close to some of nature's most impressive predators.

The Wolf Centre is a 5,000-square-foot indoor education facility overlooking a 7-acre enclosure where its resident wolf pack lives. Unlike a traditional zoo setting, the wolves are unsocialized and maintain many of the behaviours and social structures of a wild pack. Guests observe them through one-way glass, giving you a remarkable opportunity to watch these animals while learning about wolf behaviour, ecology, and conservation. 🍷🌿 Memories from Pelee Island! 🌿🍷

Last week, another wonderful group of Hammond Tours & Travel guests set off to explore Pelee Island and some of beautiful Southwestern Ontario — and what a getaway it was!

Over four days, our travellers enjoyed a scenic ferry ride to Pelee Island, island sightseeing, Point Pelee National Park, local wineries, delicious meals, the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation, and plenty of beautiful scenery along the way.

From peaceful waterfront views and vineyard visits to great food and new experiences, this trip offered so many opportunities to enjoy one of Ontario’s most unique destinations.

From Newfoundland & Labrador to the Emerald Isle! ☘️

A warm Welcome Home to Connie’s Newfoundland & Labrador group, who returned home last weekend after an incredible 12-day adventure exploring one of Canada’s most colourful and captivating regions!

Their journey took them from Corner Brook to St. John’s, with unforgettable stops along the way including Gros Morne National Park, L’Anse aux Meadows, Red Bay, Gander, Twillingate, Trinity and Cape Bonavista. They cruised the beautiful waters of Bonne Bay and Witless Bay, explored Newfoundland and Labrador’s fascinating history and coastal communities, visited the most easterly point in North America at Cape Spear, and finished their adventure with a traditional Newfoundland Screech-In!

With Newfoundland’s strong Irish influence, lively traditions and warm East Coast hospitality, it seems only fitting that one of Connie’s next adventures will take her across the Atlantic to experience Ireland itself! ☘️
