The 94th Lei Day Celebration Returns to Oʻahu This Sunday ...Lei Day is a vibrant, statewide celebration in Hawaii held annually on May 1st (often called "May Day is Lei Day") to honor Hawaiian culture, the aloha spirit, and the art of making and wearing lei. Established in 1928, it features lei-making contests, musical performances, hula, and the crowning of a Lei Queen and Court, primarily at Kapi‘olani Park in Honolulu.
