Despite training and best efforts, some things you can’t predict nor plan for. The pilot Two Row By the Grand ride coordinated in partnership between University of Waterloo's Faculty of Environment Six Nations Tourism and Water Cycles was cancelled due to team health & safety concerns as a result of the poor air quality index. In lieu of riding alongside the Two Row paddlers, the team toured indoors at Chiefswood National Historic Site, Mohawk Chapel, and Woodland Cultural Centre here in the Six Nations community, in the continued spirit of reconciliation-focused learning, honouring the Two Row Wampum and the Silver Covenant Chain.

Nya:weh kowa to ride member Leah Sault for our coordinated team jerseys and socks, and to our community ride sponsors
Heron Heads
Bex Baked Goods
and the Six Nations Police Service
for their support and understanding of these necessary changes, not to mention the staff at Three Bears at Mohawk Gas and Convenience for accommodating the team and supplying our delicious lunch on Friday.

We look forward to further team building in hopes of riding together again in the near future!
