What a wonderful little adventure at Charleston Lake Provincial Park. 😍

A 3 night camping trip, complete with canoeing 🛶, hiking 🥾, hummingbirds 🐦‍⬛, pink lady slippers (on of Ontario's wild orchids), water snakes and a thieving porcupine. Short, sweet and simple, I would consider Charleston Lake to be a beginner friendly location for those interested in exploring into the world of back country camping.

It did not disappoint!

One of the greatest gifts that travel brings isn't just checking off those bucket-list items... you know seeing the sloths, climbing the mountains and sitting on a white sand beach with a martini.

The true gift is learning to see the world a little differently. Learning that not every culture packs every second or every day with things to do. Learning that its okay to slow down. As things continue to change between Canada and the USA, I have decided to join alongside many Canadians to advocate for the support of Canadian owned companies and local businesses through this time.

The support for local businesses is not new to my page, with responsible tourism being the soul of my platform. However there will be a few changes:

1) You will see an increase in local tour options posted on my page (featuring travel within Canada)
2) I will be featuring Canadian and specifically indigenous businesses that you can visit during your local adventures
3) I will be researching Canadian owned tour operators for marketing international destinations

Overall, there will be more Canadian based content, but content featuring international destinations will also prioritize Canadian owned companies over American owned. I will continue to promote local businesses in destination.
