G’day everyone and happy Monday!
I found this little beaut on my doorstep today from Australia.com, along with some other cool agent bits and pieces. I have a new poster to put up that highlights how a two week vacation down under is definitely achievable and an Aussie slang dictionary, which I’m clearly putting to good use.

On this day in 2008, I did something that many people said was "brave" or "scary" and I moved to Japan. My spoken Japanese was not great and I had never been to a country outside of North America or the UK, but I went almost immediately after graduating from my post graduate program. I didn't understand what was brave or scary about what I did.

This decision changed my life in every way possible.

Travelling is incredible, especially when you visit a place that doesn't use your language. The more you get out of your bubble, the more you realize how incredible this entire world is and how similar we all are. I've learnt that not everyone is as eager to learn new languages as I am, and so visiting these countries can be scary.

That's why I've become a travel agent now. I love helping people overcome the barriers that they perceive when it comes to travelling, especially to Japan. Are the websites confusing? You don't recognize the hotel brands? The train system is intimidating? Let me help you. I've been there, I've lived those fears before, and I can help you tackle all of those fears.
