Kelly and Kellan were out for an evening stroll and troll. We netted 14 walleye including one 27” 7lber and a 29” 8lber. A great outing with grandpa and one he isnt soon to forget with a new PB.

Sorry its been quiet. It’s been a busy summer with work, family, and fishing tournements. I do have limited slots in my schedule so if you are thinking of an outing let me know your ideal dates and lets see what we can line up on!

Fish are in full summer swing, relating to offshore structure, and starting to be nomadic. Covering water at 2 mph and keeping baits in the zone has been key. Dont be afraid to keep it well off the bottom. I promise you in this clear water they see it from a long ways down!

The Vanity Cup in Nipawin didnt disapoint this year. We were blessed with fair weather and well above average fishing. Those fish are so fat right now! A nice cap to the season with a 7th place finish on one of the most majestic bodies of water I have ever fished in the fall. Congrats to all my friends that did well including Winnie and Josh. Thats a wrap for this year’s tournament run. Big thanks to Streamside- Out West Streamside for the support. Here’s a small reel of some beauty Sask Falleyes from prefish.

Well thats a wrap on the Alberta Circuit for the year! It was drawn that the shootout would be on my home lake and to be honest, I always seem to struggle at home come tourney time. But today me and Luke went to work, fished some stuff that just always holds the juice and kept hopping around. It sure paid off with a 49lb bag to seal a 1st place finish and 10 grand!

Hats off to my friends Lee and Taylor in Second, and my friends Chris and Evan in third. Great show boys.

Them glidebaits only work when you got the right stick to snap em. Thanks tStreamsideiStreamside- Out Westestside- Out West for the support. 6’6” medium fast, mono, and some heavy glidebaits got er done.

Had a great week in Sask on the final leg of the Sask Walleye Trail. Me and my partner RP caught just over 43lbs for a top 10 finish and a bit of money.

Icing on the cake to an excellent week of world class fishing was finally clinching SWT Angler of the Year. An accolade that I hold in high regard considering some of the great sticks in the running this year.

I was honored to also receive the Steve Taylor Cup which is the Ironman award finishing with the most points after fishing all events.

Thanks to the SWT members for putting the trail on this year. I also want to thank Streamside Streamside- Out West for their continued support and providing me with the sticks and line I need to compete. I really appreciate your support. Hope to see Ya’ll at the Vanity in October and chase that 100k cheque! Good luck guys we’ll see ya there.

Each year in August these two young studs join me with their father for a day of walleye fishing. I have enjoyed taking these young men the last three years and watch thier confidence (and patience) grow each season. These two boated somewhere between 14 and 16 walleyes today! Including two new personal bests.

Take your kids fishing! Its memories that will last a lifetime.

Its summer swing. Its Hawgust on Newell! But the special thing about this place is you can catch em deep, shallow, trolling, jigging, corking…. Its all working if you can find em. If your having some trouble locating them, well shoot me a message. We’ll get ya hooked up.

🚨 Monster Fish and new Product Alert 🚨
Ive had the oppertunity to field test a new lineup of rods that Streamside will be coming out with next year. The newly designed Predator Elite rods are coming next year and they pack a ton of performance into a great price point. Alota nice 2 piece options too for guys trying to pack a rod into the bush or behind the seat in your truck. And as you can see, they have enough backbone to smash a jig into the roof of some of the biggest walleyes in the system!

Well, it was a great wrap up the the SAWT season at Fortymile. After being bridesmaid a handful of times we were able to snag two awesome day weights and a win. Congrats to Lee Firth on Angler of the Year and Lee and Taylor for such a consistent year.

I want to thank Streamside- Out West Streamside and Big Sky Flies and Jigs for thier continued support on the road this year chasing derbies. That 7’ 3” xtra fast Apex rod continues to be a favourite of mine for presenting live bait when needed and for snapping some fast plastics with long casts. Check them out at a retailer near you.

Jon and Sara from Northern Quebec came out for an evening on the water and hooked into a few nice ones! Jon competes in some walleye tournements back home and was really impressed with Streamside- Out West Streamside apex rods we were pitching jigs with. He couldnt believe they only retail for 159$!

W**d growth has really accelerated and is providing alot of cover and forage for these healthy fish. We are starting to see fish transition to the main lake as the water temps creep upwards oBrooks Region Tourism next big bute could be anywhere on the lake…
