🌴🐾 Ernest Hemingway’s Key West Home 🐾🌴🎣
Did you know that nearly 60 cats still roam the grounds of Ernest Hemingway’s former home in Key West? Many are descendants of Snow White, the famous six-toed cat Hemingway received as a gift. 🐾🐈🐱🐈‍⬛🙀
Hemingway lived in this beautiful house from 1931 to 1939, surrounded by tropical gardens, books, cats, and the warm Key West sunshine. It was here that he wrote To Have and Have Not and found inspiration for many of his stories. 📚✨
Beyond his writing, Hemingway loved the sea and deep-sea fishing. He spent many memorable days aboard his beloved boat, Pilar, chasing adventure and enjoying life on the water. 🎣🚤
He also loved meeting friends at Sloppy Joe’s, one of his favourite Key West places. Today, the Hemingway Home and Museum, the gardens, the cats, and the streets of Key West continue to share his remarkable story. 🌴📖
