The Cornish Pasty was a popular dish for miners in Cornwall, England. This dish was sometimes made with stewed, savoury filling on one side and sweet, fruity filling on the other. The pasty would sometimes be marked with the miner's initials. The pasty was eaten by the Cornish miners who came to Bruce Mines. They are often sold in Northern Michigan as miners also moved to that area to work in the copper mines.
