Quite a milestone...glad to see returning artists and new artists coming to Buckhorn Festival of the Arts for the 49th annual event. Next year will be a great celebration...

🎨 Celebrating 48 Years with Eddie LePage! 🎨

The Buckhorn Festival of the Arts is proud to welcome back one of our longest-running exhibiting artists, Eddie LePage!

For an incredible 48 years, Eddie has been a part of the festival family, inspiring visitors and fellow artists alike with his talent, dedication, and passion for the arts. His work has become a beloved part of the Buckhorn Festival experience, and we are honoured to have him return once again this August 15 & 16.

Located in the Eagle Building, Eddie can almost always be found sharing his creative process through a live painting demonstration. Watching a master artist bring a painting to life is an experience you won't want to miss!

Local, legendary, and loved by festival-goers, Eddie's presence is a testament to the rich history and enduring spirit of the Buckhorn Festival of the Arts.

Please join us in giving Eddie LePage a warm welcome as we celebrate one of our longest-returning artists and his remarkable 48-year journey with the festival.

OFF THE SCANNER: Emergency crews are responding to Pigeon Lake by big island after receiving a call from a man and a woman who are reporting their boat may tip over, they believe they are taking on water and they have a baby onboard,

OPP just received a second call reporting a pontoon boat which has tipped over, two people are in the water and swimming towards big island.

At this time it’s unknown if this is the same incident or if there two boats in distress in the same area, OPP are treating this as two different boats, firefighters and paramedics are responding.

UPDATE: Paramedics are responding to Kawartha Lake Marina after a boat picked up two boaters from the water by Big Bear Island and transported them to shore, no injuries have been reported.

At this time I can’t confirm if there was a baby onboard it my of been a misunderstanding as everyone has been rescued.
