Welcome back to the channel, guys!

In this video, we're balancing work and play here on beautiful Pico Island. With new guests arriving soon at our island vacation rental, it's time to get everything ready. That means plenty of gardening, cleaning, maintenance, and a few other tasks around the property.

Of course, island life isn't all work! We really enjoyed the Corpus Christi celebrations in the historic whaling village of Lajes do Pico on the island's south coast. We were also fortunate to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the annual World Dance Festival, another wonderful event held in Lajes.

And as if that wasn't enough, we even planted some corn at the rental! It's the simple pleasures and slower pace of life that make living in the Azores so special, and we hope you'll enjoy sharing those moments with us.

Welcome back to the channel, friends!

Come with us and our guest as we experience more of Pico Island. We not only love our simple island life here on this amazing Portuguese island, we also enjoy sharing it with you and everyone that stays with us at Villa Vinelva.

On this video we head out on another road trip, there is so much to see here on Pico Island. On this day we get to explore more of the highlands of the island, visiting a couple of the dramatic lakes. This is the other face of the island, a must visit. We have shown these lakes before, but on this day with this type of weather, it was different and extra special.

After having lunch at one of our favorite island restaurants, we spent some quality time on the Sao Mateus coast and adega area, before ending the day back at our vacation rental Villa Vinelava.

On this video we will drive along the south coast and over to the north side of the island. We will visit places such as Sao Caetano, Lajes, Santa Cruz, Ribeirinha, Piedade, Calhau, Santo Amaro and Sao Roque.

We will be making a few stops, before making our way up to Captains lake and over to Madalena. Like in most of our videos, we will be stopping along the way for lunch, shopping and to say hello to a few of our friendly cows and goats.

Welcome back to the channel, friends!

We’re back at our Portuguese Island vacation rental taking on a few more upgrades before our next guests arrive. With this small break between bookings, we wanted to make the most of our time on getting our rental ready.

In this video, we’ll be improving one of our main pathways to make it not only safer, but also more beautiful and inviting. We’re also creating a small new garden in front of our old lava stone house, tackling more weeding, cleaning, and plenty of other projects around the property.

Of course, we also took a little time to enjoy the island and went on a quick road trip filled with breathtaking scenery and unforgettable views. And we even have a fun surprise for you — some special visitors stopped by the house!

Little by little, the house keeps getting better and better. All the hard work is truly paying off. We love being here on the island, and we’re so happy to have you joining us on this journey.

Welcome back to the channel, friends.

Come with us and discover the other face of Pico Island, the highlands. This is a very special area of the Azores, and one of our favorite places.

You can reach these more elevated areas of the island within a 20 minute drive from the coast. In a short time, you will be in a complete state of peace. Up here you will not only be surrounded by nature, lakes, volcanos, quiet and very few people. You might even get a visit from some of the wild horses found in this area.

We had a great day hanging out with our Canadian friends Art & Christine, hopefully it was a treat being high above the beautiful Atlantic for them as well.

On this video, we are taking you to our neighboring island of Faial. Come along with us and our special Canadian guests as we tour this very cool north Atlantic Portuguese island.

We started our road trip from the city of Horta, visited places such as Varadouro, Capilinhos, Faja, Cedros, Praia Almoxarife and ended back in Horta. During our walk around in trendy Horta; we checked out the famous marina, Peter Cafe, Praia Porto Pim and much more.

We also had an amazing lunch at Aldina's restaurant, located in Cedros. This place had quality food, amazing service and affordable prices. If you have a chance, stop here for lunch, you won't regret it.

We hope you enjoyed coming with us to Faial.

After working at our Pico Island rental for the last 3 weeks, we are finally ready to welcome our special Canadian guests. On this video you will see what we have done during the last week of maintenance; cleaning, paint touch ups, fire pit, outdoor bbq and much more.
